HPT began installing patented Dinh® Dehumidifier Heat Pipes in thousands of locations around the world. The client list grew to include many high profile customers such as Walt Disney World, The Kennedy Space Center and the Salvador Dali Museum. Nationally recognized chains such as Burger King, Taco Bell, Waffle House, Marriott, Hilton, Doubletree hotels, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Winn-Dixie, Food Lion, Kroger and Harris-Teeter supermarkets have heat pipe installations in locations around the country.

Heat pipes may be described as having two sections: precool and reheat. The first section is located in the incoming air stream. When warm air passes over the heat pipes, the refrigerant vaporizes, carrying heat to the second section of heat pipes, placed downstream. Because some heat has been removed from the air before encountering the evaporator coil, the incoming air stream section is called the precool heat pipe.

Air passing through the evaporator coil is assisted to a lower temperature, resulting in greater condensate removal. The "overcooled" air is then reheated to a comfortable temperature by the reheat heat pipe section, using the heat transferred from the precool heat pipe.

This entire process of precool and reheat is accomplished with no additional energy use. The result is an air conditioning system with the ability to remove 50 to 100% more moisture than regular systems

In addition to dehumidification, in 1996 HPT began producing the most advanced line of heat recovery heat pipes available for HVAC applications. Called the HRM "3-D" Series, these air-to-air heat exchangers are incredibly efficient, and unlike many predecessors, require no mechanical "tilt" mechanism for all-season operation. The heat recovery heat pipes have been installed with tremendous results across the northern US and Canada. The tremendous energy saving benefits of the HRM ensures a new level of recognition for HPT in the heat recovery marketplace.

In the year 2000, HPT unveiled the most advanced and cost effective line of commercial fresh air machines ever produced. Called the FAM Series (Fresh Air Machine), these systems are designed to outperform any currently available on the market, while remaining competitively priced.
